Background

Strategic Property Partners (SPP) is developing 50 acres of land along the waterfront in downtown Tampa, anchored by an arena and focused on healthy, outdoor living with walkable streets that connect homes, offices, shops, and hotels.

UrbanSense Approach

As part of Intersection, the UrbanSense team was tasked with:

  • Enhanced Digital Experiences: Identified and conceptualized technology-driven solutions to enrich daily life within the district.

  • Operational Efficiency: Mapped technology requirements to streamline processes for developers and stakeholders.

  • Seamless Integration: Developed a roadmap for integrating digital solutions across residential, commercial, and public spaces.

Outcomes

Our work provided SPP with a scalable framework for implementing smart infrastructure, enhancing user engagement, and driving long-term innovation in Tampa’s urban landscape. Our work is helping to advance the district’s goal of becoming the first WELL-certified community in the world, focusing on health and wellness principles throughout its design.
