Background

The program was designed to help low-income and diverse applicants enter the field by providing training, support, and career pathways into the industry.

UrbanSense Approach

To ensure the program effectively met industry and workforce needs, UrbanSense:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborated with industry leaders to align the program with real-world demands.

  • Program Development: Defined core components to enhance accessibility and participant success.

  • Talent Strategy: Designed a plan to connect talent with job opportunities, ensuring long-term impact for individuals and employers.

Outcomes

The Cyber NYC workforce program blueprint provided a clear, actionable roadmap to develop a sustainable pipeline of cybersecurity talent. By aligning industry needs with workforce development, this initiative expands economic opportunity while strengthening NYC’s tech ecosystem.
